THE PARALLEL PROJECTS:
FOR THE LOVE OF FROGS
Working "in parallel" with others worldwide to make the world healthier and safer for all.
THE PARALLEL PROJECTS.
Justin started "The Parallel Projects" with his pen pal Perise Forbi in Cameroon to work on projects with others around the world to make the planet safer for all.
"I want people to take better care of the environment. I want to make the world cleaner and a safer place for the frogs, other animals, my family, and friends." - Justin
Perise has a passion to clean the planet for sea turtles.

ULTIMATE GOAL: Inspire youth worldwide to protect the planet for their favorite animal.
What's your favorite animal?
Collecting THOUSANDS of Pledges from kids around the world!
Each pledge is a promise to take actions that help protect our planet.
CREATING HABIT CHANGE WORLDWIDE:
WILL YOU TAKE THE PLEDGE?
HOW IT ALL STARTED.....
It all began on Earth Day 2019, when a 22-year-old environmental science student from Cameroon, Perise, reached out to Justin in Los Angeles asking if he could help him turn his town's trash into treasures. Perise had cleaned up over 8,000 illegally dumped plastic bottles around his town but with when the nearest recycling center closed down- he felt hopeless.
CALL OF ACTION.
Justin was eager to help Perise and began asking people for ideas and solutions. They put out a national call of action in efforts to bring more awareness to the issue. Dozens of creative upcycling ideas started coming in from all around the world. The ideas have come from as far as Canada, Nigeria, Kenya, and Tanzania. Now came the hard part—IMPLEMENTING THE IDEAS!
WORKING IN PARALLEL.
As the ideas came in, Justin and his family and friends started completing the projects in the United States to encourage Perise to do the same in “parallel” in Cameroon. The “The Parallel Projects" became a daily and weekly project between Justin and Perise. They made a great team and slowly thousands of the bottles began transforming into works of art.
THE PARALLEL PROJECTS:
"Working "in parallel" to make the world a healthier and safer place for all.
Justin was able to pay for a year tuition for Perise to continue his environmental studies as the University of Buea through money he got from recycling plastic bottles.
RAISING AWARENESS. They began sharing their work on social media to bring awareness to our world’s plastic pollution problem. In "parallel" Justin and Perise have made many things with the bottles such as flower planters, plastic bottle animals, plastic bottle cap art, a cap path, earrings, and their latest project is a plastic bottle fisherman’s boat.
"Turning Trash into Treasures
is just like MAGIC!" - Justin
REUSABLE WATER BOTTLES.
Justin and Perise worked on a "reusable water bottle" campaign. In parallel they had students draw their favorite animals that were printed on water bottles to remind them to protect the planet.
THE PARALLEL PROJECT.
Students from all around the world are joining in the fight against plastic pollution and working together to take care of our planet.
THE PROMISE PLEDGE
When the students get their water bottles each child takes a pledge to promise to do their best to take care of the environment.
KIDS CAN CHANGE THE WORLD:
Justin wants to inspire other children to be brave and change the world for the better. And the better for Justin is a world full of colorful and vibrant frogs that add a little magic touch to our home – Planet Earth.
