JUSTIN SATHER
A 13 year old boy from San Diego, California.
Justin learned frogs were dying from pollution, pesticides, rising temperatures, and people cutting down their homes. When he discovered frogs are indicator species, he knew it was a clear sign that our planet needs help.
Justin had an idea to help the frogs and the planet too. His mission is to protect 30% of the planet by 2030 by protecting land and water. So far, he's raised enough money to protect 100 acres of rainforest in Ecuador. Next, Justin is working to protect the beaches and water in Panama's Pearl Islands.
Justin is determined to create positive change to help our planet for his friends, family, the next generations, and of course- THE FROGS!
Justin has been featured in several books, magazines, podcasts, news clips, social media campaigns, and a documentary for his work to protect the planet. He is known for sharing his journey on how he turned his idea into a reality. In the future, Justin hopes to write his own book to share his quest of being brave and staying determined to inspire other kids to create a world they envision for their future.

Nick News takes a deep dive into the environment sharing the story of 12-year-old Justin Sather from Carlsbad, California and how his passion for saving frogs has expanded to learn about the dangers of deforestation and climate change.
"Justin’s interest in frogs lead him to fight for the future of the rainforest - one of their biggest natural habitats. He asks, “Did you know almost half of the world’s rainforest have been destroyed and they could disappear in one hundred years?” Because of this, Justin has raised enough funds to protect 30 acres (as of 09/2023 - 79 Acres) of rainforest in Ecuador, preserving the environment for his favorite creatures."
